Let Me Tell You About My Best Friends! Pt.2

So after spending some time with my friend SR (Sales Rack) he had me feeling good, looking good, and he saved me tons of money! I just wish I had met him sooner, but now our bond is unbreakable! He’s always there for me in my bad days and when I need some therapy he is always willing to help. One day I went to visit SR and to my surprise I didn’t find anything. I have to admit I was pretty disappointed. I guess he saw it in my eyes, so he whispered in my ear:
"Thrifting"

“Thrifting you say? But isn't that old clothes worn by other people?”

He tells me, “Yes, however you can find some really cute things to help build your wardrobe. Styles are coming back, and thrifting is a cheap way to keep up with the trends.”

Then he told me the 2 biggest secrets of all!

“They have sales too, and Target sends unworn clothes and shoes to the Goodwill!"

"Whaatttt!! Shut up! I have to meet him!!"

 And this happened...

Outfit Deets
Dress: Goodwill (by way of Target)
Scarf: Target
Shoes: Sam Edelman
Sunglasses: Nordstrom Rack

Come back next week to meet my friend Wardrobe Revamp! See you soon!

Wardrobe Revamp

So a little background about myself! I am on a STRICT BUDGET! In the beginning of 2013 I found myself without a job. Although I was worried about not being able to pay my bills, I was more distraught when I realized that I couldn’t go shopping every other week just because! (Yes, it’s that important to me). With my mood changes and weight fluctuating due to the stress of being unemployed, it became depressing to get dressed to go out and have fun. After wallowing in self- pity for a while, I eventually got a grip on life. I realized that having a lot of money is not the determining factor to my happiness or even to creating a great outfit. So had to “revamp” my perception on what style really was.  It’s not about buying new outfits for every occasion, it became clear to me it was all about my creativity. So I tore my closet up! I found things I forgot I had, rearranged it, got rid of things and started back to the basics. I started finding that this shirt went with those pants.  And oh! I could wear these shoes instead of those! Add a scarf, a hat, or a chunky necklace, and BAM a new original outfit!! I call it wardrobe revamping!

Above is an outfit that was revamped by me the only thing added was the kimono and socks which was all together $20.
